With almost 17 million square kilometres, Russia is the largest country in the world in terms of area. Around 77 percent of the population lives west of the Ural Mountains and thus in the European part of the state. In 2019, goods worth EUR 199.8 billion were imported, around 1/3rd of which were from the European Union. Even if Russian foreign trade has constantly been subject to certain fluctuations in recent years due to sanctions, products from and for mechanical engineering from the European Union to the Russian Federation have continued to be in great demand.
We are therefore very pleased that with EM Service Europa, under the leadership of Boris Bederman, we were able to deepen the existing partnership for the Russian market. After intensive product training at ZIMM Germany in Ohorn at the beginning of June, he now represents the whole ZIMM Group in Russia. Besides the German office of EM Service Europa based in Duisburg, Mr. Bederman leads, among other things, the Moscow-based company OOO E.M. Intech and OOO E M Ingineering in Toljatti.
